So what did we get up to?
We spent an afternoon at a recording studio with friends. There was no big musical ambition attached to it; it was a chance to spend time together somewhere different.
We had a go at making some noise and enjoyed the time together. Nothing needed to turn into a finished track for the afternoon to feel worthwhile.
A few spins between takes
Between recording attempts, we took a break and played a few slots. It was one small part of the afternoon. It also brought back the $18,000 win I couldn’t withdraw—a story I’ve written about separately.
What made the afternoon stick?
What I remember most is how easy the afternoon felt. We tried things, laughed at a few questionable sounds, and left without needing to call it a project. Good company was enough.
